2 00 3 A QCD Generated Mass Spectrum

چکیده
Using the interquark potential we obtain a formula for the mass spectrum of elementary particles. The simple formula gives the masses of all known elementary particles with an error of about three percent or less. This includes the recently discovered Ds(2317) and 1.5GeV Pentaquark particles. One of the problems that has eluded a solution is that of a mass spectrum for elementary particles. Such a formula would be intimately tied up with inter quark interactions. We will now use the QCD potential to deduce such a formula, which as will be seen, surprisingly covers all known elementary particles. The well known QCD potential is given by [1, 2] U(r) = − α r + βr (1) where in units ¯ h = c = 1, α ∼ 1. The first term in (1) represents the Coulumbic part while the second term represents the confining part of the potential. Let us consider the pion made up of two quarks along with a third quark, one at the centre and two at the ends of interval of the order of the Compton wavelength, r. Then the central particle experiences the force

We report on the first large-scale study of two flavor QCD with domain wall fermions (DWF). Simulation has been carried out at three dynamical quark mass values about 1/2, 3/4, and 1 mstrange on 16 3 × 32 volume with Ls = 12 and a −1 ≈ 1.7 GeV. After discussing the details of the simulation, we report on the light hadron spectrum and decay constants.

The past leaves the surprising experimental successes of the simple constituent quark model to be expained by QCD. Surprising agreement with experiment from simple Sakharov-Zeldovich model (1966) having quarks with effective masses and hyperfine interaction. Nambu’s (1966) Colored quarks with gauge gluons gave mass spectrum with only qqq and q̄ bound states. The future opens the way to new insig...

I review lattice QCD calculations that compute the masses of the flavour singlet pseudoscalar mesons. I describe the progress in computing the mass spectrum of light 0 ++ mesons using lattice QCD. I also compare the results for basic quantities such as f π and m ρ , from various different formalisms of lattice QCD. I discuss the physical value of r 0 .

We confront lattice QCD results on the transition from the hadronic phase to the quark–gluon plasma with hadron resonance gas and percolation models. We argue that for T ≤ Tc the equation of state derived from Monte–Carlo simulations of (2+1) quark–flavor QCD can be well described by a hadron resonance gas. We examine the quark mass dependence of the hadron spectrum on the lattice and discuss i...

It is well known that the linear mass spectrum of light mesons in the large-N c limit is dual to the perturbative QCD continuum. We find the form of the linear spectrum which is maximally dual to the perturbation theory. The obtained ansatz turns out to be the spectrum of the Lovelace-Shapiro dual amplitude. This spectrum is chirally symmetric in the sense that it corresponds to zero values for...
